Debt Problems

Debt problems affect around 25% of people in the UK. Most people have debts of some sort, for instance a mortgage, but if you are able to make the repayments each month you do not have a debt problem.

Problems can often arise due to circumstances beyond your control, for instance in a relationship breakdown, but as soon as you think you have a debt problem it is extremely important to get help as soon as possible.

Failing to address a debt problem is only going to make it worse. Don't bury your head in the sand or feel embarrassed, remember each month that you do nothing more interest is being added to your debts.

If you are able to restructure your finances on your own, by reducing your outgoings or increasing the money coming in, or by negotiating with your creditors, make sure you stick to your spending plans, make your repayments on time and you will, eventually, become debt free.

However, many people do not feel able to sort out these problems themselves, and turning to a professional for advice and help is a better option for them. We work in conjunction with IVA Debt Problem to provide three main solutions for those with debt problems:

1. Debt Management - freeze interest and write off part of your debt

2. Debt Consolidation - consolidate all of your high interest borrowing with a fresh loan with a lower interest rate

3. IVA - have up to 60-70% of your debt written off and have legal protection from your creditors

We have a Debt Consolidation Calculator on the website so that you can see how much your current debts are, and how much you might save by consolidating them with a new low rate loan over a longer period.

We have many years experience solving people's debt problems and it is unlikely your own circumstances haven't been seen before or dealt with by us.
